The support system is the most easily overlooked but safety critical part of lightweight steel structures. Including inter column support, roof horizontal support, tie rods, etc., their function is to ensure the overall stability of the structure and transmit horizontal loads (wind loads, seismic effects). The root cause of many light steel structure accidents is not insufficient strength of the main frame, but the lack of support system or unreasonable design - the structure loses lateral stability and collapses as a whole.

设计时需按规范要求设置足够的支撑,特别注意山墙刚架的支撑布置和抗风柱的传力路径。施工时支撑构件不能随意取消或替换——图纸上标了,就得原样装上去。
